Zun\u00e4chst setzen sie sich mit dem Fertigungs- und Montageauftrag und dazugeh\u00f6rigen Unterlagen wie Montagepl\u00e4nen und Richtlinien auseinander und planen die Arbeitsschritte. Dann stellen sie manuell oder maschinell Bauteile her, beispielsweise indem sie Bleche mit verschiedenen Verfahren bearbeiten. Die Bauteile montieren sie zu Baugruppen, indem sie sie beispielsweise zusammenschrauben, verstiften oder vernieten, schmieden oder l\u00f6ten.Sie montieren auch Leitungen sowie elektrische und elektronische Elemente. Dabei beachten sie Schalt- und Funktionspl\u00e4ne. Aus Bauteilen und -gruppen setzen sie Ger\u00e4te, Maschinen oder Maschinenteile zusammen. Hierzu montieren sie die Bauteile lage- und funktionsgerecht und beachten dabei die Teilefolge. Sie richten die Montageteile aus, befestigen und sichern sie.
