Dabei bauen sie auch elektronische Mess- und Regelkomponenten ein. H\u00e4ufig verwenden Feinwerkmechaniker\/innen dazu computergesteuerte Werkzeugmaschinen, zum Teil f\u00fchren sie die Arbeiten aber auch manuell aus.Sie planen Arbeitsabl\u00e4ufe, richten Werkzeugmaschinen ein und bearbeiten Metalle mittels spanender Verfahren wie Drehen, Fr\u00e4sen, Bohren, Schleifen und Honen. Anschlie\u00dfend beurteilen sie die Arbeits-ergebnisse und \u00fcberpr\u00fcfen beispielsweise, ob vorgegebene Ma\u00dftoleranzen eingehalten werden. Zu-dem bauen sie die gefertigten Maschinenteile und Ger\u00e4te zusammen, stellen sie je nach Verwen-dungszweck ein und f\u00fchren Bedienungseinweisungen durch.
